Android Auto is an increasingly standard option on new vehicles, but if you want to implant it into your existing car, you'll need some hardware. Sony's new XAV-AX8000 is an interesting option, featuring a big honkin' nine-inch display. One caveat: it'll set you back 600 bucks.
The receiver installs in a single-DIN space, and its 8.95-inch touchscreen doesn't even try to fit into your dashboard. Rather, it hovers over it with an adjustable mount that lets you tweak its angle, depth, and height.
